Disney Cruise Line & Port Transfers
This page explains how to arrange a transfer between the Orlando area and the Disney Cruise Line cruise terminal at Port Canaveral, as well as connections to Universal Orlando.

From Orlando Airport to Port Canaveral
The Disney Cruise Line terminal is at Port Canaveral, roughly a 45–60 minute drive from Orlando International Airport (MCO). Many cruisers pair a Universal Orlando or Walt Disney World stay with a cruise, then transfer to the port on sailing day.
- Airport to port: Dedicated shuttle and cruise-line transfer services run from MCO to Port Canaveral on embarkation days.
- From a Universal on-site hotel: If you are staying at Portofino Bay, Hard Rock or Royal Pacific before your cruise, you will typically arrange a separate transfer to the port.
- Rental car / ride-share: Rental cars and ride-share services are also available, but a one-way rental from the port back to the airport is not always convenient.
Returning after the cruise
On debarkation day, transfers run from the port back to MCO for your flight home, and some providers also offer a connection to Orlando theme-park hotels if you are continuing your vacation.
Planning tips
- Book port transfers in advance, especially during school holidays and peak cruise season.
- Allow plenty of buffer between park time and your port transfer on sailing day.
- Confirm luggage handling with the transfer provider so your bags meet you on board.
